Job Opportunities
Our graduates have found employment locally and overseas in a wide range of government and non-government agencies. Graduates are a link with the field for current students. To give a few examples of the path some local and international graduates have followed:
- Kate came into the program with a background in Anthropology. After a term with the Overseas Service Bureau in Indonesia, she worked with the UN in East Timor during the pre-independence period and is now working with the UN in disaster relief in Mongolia.
- David from Dublin had a background in philosophy – he went home to work in an Ethnic Affairs Agency.
- In the course of completing an assignment in his first session of study, Damien visited Amnesty International’s office in Sydney – he continued his association with AI as a volunteer until graduation when he was employed in his current public relations role.
- Jo was a nurse – after graduation she joined the Fred Hollows Foundation where she works as international projects manager.
- "Sunny" went home to Thailand after graduation and works as creative producer for radio programs.
- Siu Yee made contact with the Sydney office of International Social Services while studying and went home to work in the Hong Kong Branch when her studies were completed.
